  • What is the Process for Repairing Equipment?

  1. Call MTI Dental (610) 679-5280, and you will be assigned an RMA (Return/Repair Merchandise Authorization) number.  Please include your RMA number with a brief description of the problem you are experiencing with your handpiece.

  2. Please be sure to AUTOCLAVE handpiece(s) BEFORE sending them in for a FREE evaluation.

  3. Please write “ATTENTION: Repair Department” on the outside of the package.

  4. Repairs are evaluated in the order they are received.

 

  • What is the Turn-Around Time for a Repair?

    • Once received, repairs take only a few days (typically 2-3 business days).

    • Vendors must approve ALL repairs BEFORE equipment is repaired and returned to the customer. 

    • MTI will NOT drop ship repairs to customers unless instructed otherwise.

  • How Long Does it Take to Ship and Who Does MTI Use to Ship Packages?

Shipping takes 2-7 days depending on where the customer is located. MTI Dental uses USPS, Fed Ex, and UPS to ship packages.

 

  • Are MTI HPs Safe to Autoclave?

Yes. MTI Dental recommends customers use Rite Lube before and after autoclaving hand pieces.

 

  • Can you autoclave the motor and attachments together?

No. All attachments should be unattached from each other before autoclaving.

 

  • How Do You Oil the Handpieces and the Attachments?

The customer should lube their MTI hand pieces through the air drive tube (longer of the 2 prongs located on the back end of the hand piece). 
It is the only line that leads directly to the turbine or vital moving parts.

 

  • What Lubricant Should I Use?  

MTI Rite Lube – this is a mineral oil used before and after autoclaving.

 

  • What is the Return Policy?

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with an MTI product you can return it within the first 30 days for a full refund.

  • Can You Send Me Promos in the Mail?            

Yes.

 

  • What is a Coupler?         

A coupler is an attachment that runs from the tubing to the hand piece that allows a quick disconnect, as well as a 360 degree swivel to prevent hand fatigue. Visit the Quick-Disconnect Coupler product page for more details.

 

  • Do You Warranty Your Repairs?

Yes.

 

  • Does MTI Dental Sell the Electric Classic Motor?

Not at the moment but MTI is in the works to introduce a new electric handpiece with the same reliability as our customers have come accustomed to… Stay Tuned!

 

  • Do We Sell Motor Kits?

Yes. MTI is usually able to accommodate their customers’ requests.

 

  • Does MTI Repair Non-MTI Handpieces?

Yes.  However, it is not recommended, nor is this type of repair covered by a warranty of any kind.

 

  • Do You Oil Lube-Free Handpieces?

No.

 

  • Can I Pay with a Credit Card?

Yes. Credit card payments are the preferred method, details can be filled in on the web or over the phone for a safe transaction.

 

  • Do We Sell & Ship Internationally?

Yes. International customers should please call for assistance.
